Reinvestment Fund

FUND LAUNCHING JANUARY 2027
ABOUT THE MAINE COMMUNITY REINVESTMENT FUND
The Maine Community Reinvestment Fund was created to ensure that individuals impacted by the October 25, 2023 Lewiston tragedy continue to be supported for years to come.
Funded by 20% of net proceeds from all Maine Strong Memorial Foundation events, the fund provides financial assistance for education, training, certifications, licensing, and other career advancement opportunities that empower recipients to make a lasting impact in Maine communities.
Recipients are selected through an application and review process and must demonstrate both their connection to the events of 10/25/23 and how their goals will positively impact Maine.
To ensure transparency and accountability, the fund is maintained separately from the Foundation’s general operations, and all approved expenses are paid directly to educational institutions, training programs, vendors, or service providers. No cash payments are distributed to recipients.
This fund reflects our commitment to ensuring that the 10/25/23 community is never forgotten and that their resilience continues to create positive impact across Maine.
While the Foundation strives to help as many individuals as possible, approval of applications and award amounts are dependent upon available funding and cannot be guaranteed.
