A poignant 'Lewiston Strong' sign held aloft in the crowd, bearing the names of the victims, serves as a moving tribute during the softball game. The sign, visible against the backdrop of engaged spectators, creates a moment of remembrance and unity among the attendees, symbolizing the community's resilience and collective memory.

Final Date for Additional Contributions

Emergency Relief Fund.png

The Searsmont Emergency Relief Fund was officially closed earlier this summer to allow the Foundation to quickly distribute funds to those impacted by the Robbins Lumber tragedy. Since then, additional community fundraisers and contributions have continued to support those affected.

August 31, 2026, is the final date donations may be designated specifically for the Searsmont/Robbins Lumber relief effort. Additional funds received through this date will be distributed to those impacted.

Donations received after August 31 will support the Maine Strong Memorial Foundation’s ongoing mission of helping Maine families affected by sudden tragedy.

Where will your donations go?

20% of net event proceeds will go towards those impacted by the Lewiston shooting and the remaining 80% will go towards helping more Maine families that experience unexpected tragedy.

Additional details of our process for helping more Maine families coming soon.
